We used these little slithers of paper to communicate thanks, condolences, hot gossip, the odd body part and just about anything that’d fit in them. Today theyve been made almost obsolete by email but we still fall back on them for the more important stuff like tax returns (don't get me going on those) and when we want to give the impression that we really do care about our third-removed cousin's 15th birthday.
